When Life Gets Confusing
When life gets confusing, just know you'll learn and it won't be as confusing anymore. Things get better, perhaps not in that very moment that you want, but it does. It can get frustrating waiting for a happy day to come, but there's also a catch.. You have to want it. You have to want and strive for the happiness to achieve it. You cannot lay in bed and mope around expecting a better day to come, because it won't unless there is action being taken. It's a process, but it's one worth going through because the outcome will be better than you have ever imagined.

Ahhh, the good old "mascara face". I never stopped to wonder why I felt the urge to hang my mouth open as I applied makeup that went on my eyelashes until I noticed many other women do the same thing! What in the world is going on?
Well, one possible reason could be that sagging our mouth downwards stretches the skin around the eyes and allows for better mascara application.. Which makes total sense, but isn't it involuntary? Well, maybe our brain knows beauty hacks better than we do.

Norms.
What do we think when we hear that word? We could say society's expectations, rules that are generally accepted by most individuals, etc. So what's so unhealthy about having manners? Nothing at all. However, new norms that have developed through the 21st century especially with advancement in technology have changed society's way of thinking, especially in teenagers, and dramatically. Social networks have taken a huge part in this way of thinking. For example, Twitter and Tumblr being the most popular, and I can say this from experience because I am still in high school. I haven't been the only one who has seen these drastic changes in mindsets either. It's all over everyone's news feeds, it just depends on who would like to feed into the things that are said and promoted. Things are nitpicked, how people are supposed to dress, walk, speak, live and if you do not live in the way they believe you should, you will become an outcast. Many of these people are walking contradictions as they say they stand for one thing and claim to have a certain belief then post things that effect a few to thousands of people emotionally. There are, of course, positive accounts as well on these social networking websites however it almost seems as if the negative ones are over powering the positivity. Very few to none of parents and adults are aware of this new behavior circulating on the internet but it has gotten out of control in the last year. The postings of illegal content has increased and self expression has decreased. So what are we supposed to do when this occurs? Here are some ways:
1. Report/Block any negativity even if it is not towards you.
Constantly being exposed to something that hurts you emotionally that can be prevented is not good at all and should be stopped immediately. If you do not like what you see, report the account as well as block them to prevent their posts from being on your timeline.
2. Raise awareness on the issue.
There are people that want to speak up on the problem but don't because they feel that they will get personally targeted, when it is not true. You are entitled to your opinion and should be able to stand up for what you believe in at all times!
3. Learn to accept yourself and others.
Self acceptance and love is key to a successful and happy life, no exaggerating here. There will, of course be ups and downs in the road but ultimately, learning how to accept yourself will be the best, if not one of the best decisions you have made for your own personal fulfillment. Also, regardless of what someone wears, how they speak, and who they hang out with, it does not give anyone a right to treat them anything less of what they are, human. Everyone is worthy and we should all be treated as that.

Dreams are a beautiful thing. Dreams are a part of life. They are what makes a person ambitious and helps one set goals, perhaps not the typical "ideal & realistic" to some kind of dream, but it is still a dream. And any dream is never impossible in achieving, a goal is always reachable if you work smart and efficiently. Dreams are never just dreams if you choose to make them a reality. However, dreams will stay dreams if you let people's doubts and get in the way of your passion. Aren't dreams supposed to be what every person goes after? It's what every person needs to their own type of happiness and it is never too late.

Some people get confused with fact and opinion, so lets take a look at their definitions:
Fact - a thing that is indisputably the case. something that truly exists or happens; a true piece of information.
Opinion - a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
Many believe that their opinions are facts when they are merely formed in their mind or based on the opinions of others. These kind of people are mostly found voicing their opinion (which they believe are facts) during topics such as religion, but really are found everywhere.
The point here is, telling someone what you think is correct will not necessarily be correct if it is based on your opinion. For example, you cannot tell someone that the being they believe in does not exist just like you cannot tell someone the being they don't believe in does exist, because guess what? You can't prove it, other people's opinion might support yours but it does not make it true. If your opinion is based on hardcore facts and clear scientific evidence, then it is not an opinion, it is a fact.

trying to figure out the impossible
Some things make no sense. Lots of things don't. But is it supposed to? Are there just somethings that aren't supposed to be figured out? Look.. I'm a really curious person, always wanting to figure out, well.. everything. And the moment I don't get something, I get frustrated out of my mind.
I over think, that's another thing and I hate it. I absolutely LOATHE it. It strikes up my anxiety and affects the way I act towards people. However, that's only when I over think, which is.. a lot. So I'm never really who I am around people because my thoughts control me. That's the crazy thing, the mind is a crazy thing. It's true you give how much power you choose to give it, but it's extremely hard not to give it any.. It takes hard work and practice to block out self destructing thoughts. I've been trying for so long, so so long. I'm losing hope, but I still have to try or else my mind will literally ruin my life and who I am as a person. You have to try even if there is barely any hope left, because trying and striving for something almost always guarantees success, and just giving up and not putting any effort guarantees only more misery. And no one wants that. No one.
